National Ministries Supported by Newburg
- Appalachian Service Project (ASP)
- ASP is a weeklong summer experience in Appalachia attended by Newburg youth. Youth and adults work on
building and rebuilding homes, schools, clinics and other buildings with the people from the Appalachian
region. During the year, our youth groups sponsor auctions, flower sales, and pizza sales to raise money
for supplies used in construction.
- Campbell Soup Label collection
- Newburg collects canned food labels for items that are in the Campbell's
® "Labels for Education" program. The program allows non-profit
organizations to collect labels that are used to buy needed supplies.
Labels can be brought to the missions cabinets across from Gutherie
Hall.
- Red Bird Mission
- A comprehensive mission program providing education for children, preschool through high school, programs of economic development and programs for the elderly in an Appalachian setting.
- Navaho United Methodist Center
- Provides a chaplaincy program, summer work camps and a medical center in New Mexico.
