"Nets" Project Saves 2422 Lives!
Through the efforts of Newburg people and friends, funds have been collected to purchase 2422 mosquito repellent nets for African residents through the "Nothing But Nets" project. The United Methodist Church joined with the United Nations, the NBA,The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and others to help end Malaria by 2015 in Africa by supplying mosquito nets at a cost of $10 each. Newburg Library on the web!
The Newburg library has recently been completely overhauled. Outdated material has been removed and many new volumes have been added. It is now attractively housed in the lounge. The collection is also searcheable on the web! Just go here to begin searching for the book you are looking for.

Non Food Pantry Supplies Needed!
Each month the Pantry Team has seen a steady stream of new households referred to the pantry by the City of Livonia. We are now serving 17 households in the 48150 zip code of Livonia. The Pantry shelves are in need of some replenishing. Please consider donating a “filled box” with the items below or $30 to cover the cost of a box. Boxes and donations can be dropped off at the Pantry table during ConneXions or in the Church Office during regular office hours.

Kleenex 1 large box or 2 small boxes
Soap 2 bars unopened
Shampoo 1 bottle, 12-15 oz.

All Purpose Cleaner 1 bottle, 30 oz or smaller
Bleach 1 small bottle
Laundry Soap 1 bottle, 50 oz or smaller

Third Thursday Dining
Third Thursday Dining is a monthly chance to enjoy a meal at a local restaurant with your friends while earning a contribution for our church. The local restaurant donates a percent of each patron's bill to us, but only if you present the coupon when you pay your bill. We will be meeting Feb. 16 at Aubree's Pizzeria & Grill, 20420 Haggerty Rd., Northville. Get the necessary coupon here.
