The Sermon on the Mount and the Sermon on the Plain.
The Winter Retreat has been a tradition for many years at Newburg United Methodist Church. Held in early January each year at the Lake Huron Retreat Center, the Winter Retreat seeks to start us off well in the new year by gathering folks together for a day and a half of scripture study and fellowship. The retreat starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Saturday afternoon. For 2026 the retreat theme is: Revisiting The Central Teachings of Jesus: The Sermon on the Mount and the Sermon on the Plain.
Join us along the shore of Lake Huron for a time of fellowship while learning. The cost of the event includes all meals and snacks. Each room has a private bath. Please inquire to Dr. Dunbar (in person or through the church office) if you have any questions or need a scholarship to attend.
