WHAT IS ASP?
Appalachia Service Project is an amazing non-profit organization working in the Appalachian Mountain communities to make homes "Warmer. Safer. Drier."
WHO? WHAT? WHY?
Newburg Student Ministry is proud to have partnered with ASP for over 35yrs. Our Senior High, Young Adults and Adult leaders all have taken God's will to continue this great mission. When you come to the Silent Auction & Pasta Dinner you are supporting the efforts to continue God's work and allow students to come alongside amazing families to see how God is already working in Appalachia and be used to help families make their homes "Wamer. Safer. Drier."
WHAT DO THESE FUNDS PROVIDE?
Every team for ASP is required to have a van or transportation to get them from their sites. Due to less families having vans for donations we have to rent more vehicles. Rental cost per van is anywhere from $600-$1,000. We typically have about 5 Teams.
It is a top priority to give all students the opportunity to attend all trips & events put on my Newburg Student Ministries. Therefore, money should never be a reason a student has to miss out on doing God's work in this world. It cost $350, Newburg covers $110/per person upfront to keep cost low for our families.
Throughout the week random expenses arise, the nature of mission work. As good stewards we work to provide funds for moments of emergency while we out. These funds sometimes provide items like doors, windows, bedding, family gifts, food, and plenty more. This budget can range depending on the need, $50-$1,000.
These are just a few examples of different expenses a trip like this will endure. We thank you in advance for your support! If you would like to give a special gift offering you can make those through the offering plate, while marking your offering envelope with ASP or Student Ministry Missions.
