Giving your time, talent and treasure...
We give because much has been given!
We give to minister in Jesus' name
Together, United Methodists do remarkable ministry around the world. We care for survivors recovering from earthquakes and storms; we invest, long term, in vulnerable communities; we implement the most effective solutions to diseases like malaria; we equip the next generation to lead the church and society. In all of this, we share the good news of Jesus Christ.
In addition to donating in person with cash or check during a weekend worship service, you may also give in the following ways:
Text to Give
You can now make a contribution to Newburg with a quick text message!
Simply send a text to 734-672-3309 with the amount you would like to contribute. Make sure to include the dollar sign before the amount (example: $25). Within a few minutes, you’ll be sent a text with a link to register. Click on the link and enter your cardholder name and credit or debit card information. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a text verification and a receipt via email.
For future giving, simply send a text with the amount you wish to give, and it will process automatically!
Traditional Choices Remain
All members who prefer to remain with the current system will continue to receive their offering envelopes just the way they do now. Participants in the EFT program will have their envelopes discontinued.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT):
It works in the same manner as the programs offered by local gas and electric and many insurance and mortgage companies. The United Methodist Church's General Council on Finance and Administration has endorsed EFT and recommended the service agency that Newburg is using.
You may choose a donation frequency (quarterly, monthly, semimonthly, or even weekly) and indicate the amount of your contribution for each of the fund(s) Current Fund or Building Fund. Then complete the remainder of the authorization form, mail it or bring it to the church office, and we will arrange for your savings or checking account to be debited as you selected on your form. You may also now have your Newburg contribution charged to your credit card. Using your credit card does cause Newburg to incur a small additional expense (~3%) so taking this into account when you are deciding your level of giving would be appreciated.
Important Benefits of EFT
The Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program yields very significant benefits for Newburg and makes life easier for you:
* The satisfaction of giving to God first
* Less work for church volunteers in counting, deposits, etc.
* A more predictable income flow for the church
* Improved cash management with less labor
* Easier personal budgeting for you
* Saving the cost of checks
Make checks payable to Newburg United Methodist Church and mail to 36500 Ann Arbor Trail, Livonia, MI 48150.
