Vist Us

We know what it's like to walk through a new door.

Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, visiting Newburg out of curiosity, or finding your way back to church after some time away, we are genuinely glad you're here.

Our greeters and ushers will be at the doors to welcome you, help you get oriented, and answer any questions you might have: no pressure, no expectations, just a warm welcome from people who mean it.

Here's everything you need to know to make your first visit easy and comfortable.

What to Expect

When does worship begin?

Worship begins at 10 AM. If you arrive a few minutes early and hear the organ or other music already playing, don't worry, you're right on time!

Where do I park?

Parking is easy! We have plenty of space in both our East and West lots, with accessible entrances on both sides of the church.

What is the worship style like?

Our worship is blended. You'll experience a mix of contemporary and traditional music throughout the service. We believe worshiping together means embracing one another's styles, and we think that makes us richer for it.

What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable. We don't have a dress code - casual, come as you are.

What about my young children?

We want the whole family to feel at home. A few options for you:

  • Childcare (0-3) is available every Sunday starting at 9:30 AM. Check in at our Children's Ministry Wing, located at the top of the steps just off the East entrance.

  • Grace Space is a welcoming area in the sanctuary across from the tech booth, stocked with toys and seating so parents can stay engaged in worship while little ones play nearby.

  • Children's Time happens most Sundays early in the service (except the 1st of the month). Kids check in at the Children's area first, then sit with you until Children's Time. Afterward, our Children's Ministry team walks them to Sunday School. You will pick them up right where you dropped them off, following worship.

What about our teens?

We believe there's something powerful about teenagers worshiping alongside the adults in their lives, and we actively encourage it. Shared worship across generations is part of how we grow together in faith.

During the school year, Newburg Students meet every Sunday evening from 6-8 PM in the Lower Education Wing, and on Wednesday for The Hangout from 4-7 PM. Want to connect? Reach out to us at ali@newburgumc.org.
